NEWS ABOUT RONALDO

Cristiano Ronaldo could return to Manchester, all right, but in City blue?

Cristiano Ronaldo looks good in black. Would it be such a stretch to see him in Manchester City blue?
Stop me if you've heard this one before. Cristiano Ronaldo wants to leave Real Madrid and return to play in Manchester. But wait! What if he had a Carlos Tevez moment and traded in his United red for City blue?
Those at United working to woo Ronaldo back to Old Trafford have been told that the Portuguese star could just as easily make a move to Manchester City, according to the Express, who estimate his transfer value at 60 million pounds.
And with United having just spent a small fortune this summer, and Louis Van Gaal still eyeing Kevin Strootman and Mats Hummels, will United even be interested in Ronaldo come January?
Ronaldo's transfer fee won't be the only thing blocking him from returning to England. The Daily Mail reports he wants an astounding 500,000 pounds a week. That amount will be hard to square with the other players on any team Ronaldo may like to join.

CRISTIANO RONALDO HAS BEEN FORCED TO DEFEND HIS RECENT COMMENTS ABOUT REAL MADRID'S TRANSFER POLICY

Cristiano Ronaldo joined Real Madrid from United in 2009.

The Portugal captain last week suggested that he was unhappy with Madrid’s decision to sell a number of key players this summer, including the likes of Angel Di Maria and Xabi Alonso.
However, Ronaldo took to Twitter on Saturday to insist that he is happy with the La Liga club’s transfer dealings during the recent window.
“My statements were misinterpreted. Yesterday I heard the president and I’m with him 100 per cent,” Ronaldo tweeted.
“My new team-mates are great! With them we have completed a great team. We’re going for it all! A hug and Hala Madrid!”
Ronaldo said last week: “I have strong opinions but I can’t always say what I think.
“Otherwise it would be on the front page tomorrow and I don’t want that.

“But if it was up to me, I wouldn’t have done so. But if the president thinks the best thing for the team is to sign players and let others leave, we must respect and support the decision.”

Cristiano Ronaldo cools talk of Man Utd return

Barclays Player Of The Month in Manchester United
Cristiano Ronaldo has attempted to cool talk of an emotional return to Manchester United after he had indicated he could play for the Premier League side again.
The attacker has been linked with a return to Old Trafford over the past two seasons but has only recently signed a new bumper contract at Real Madrid.
The Ballon d’Or winner left in the summer of 2009 but has fond memories of his successful time in Manchester and admitted he could be open to a move back one day.
“I love Manchester,” the 29-year-old had said. “Everyone knows that — I have said it many times.
“Manchester is in my heart. I left many good friends there, the supporters are amazing and I wish I can come back one day.
“I am happy here in Real Madrid and have four more years, but in the future you never know because they treated me unbelievably there.”
But following comments from Angel di Maria saying he is not sure “how much more” Ronaldo can take at Real, the Portuguese has now insisted he is happy at the club and pleased with the new signings.
“My comments were misunderstood. I heard what the president had to say yesterday and I’m with him 100 percent. The new teammates are the best! And with them we have completed a great squad. Hala Madrid!” he said on Twitter.

Unhappy Ronaldo is ready to quit Real Madrid

Ronaldo is increasingly disillusioned at the Bernabau
Cristiano Ronaldo could follow Angel Di Maria out of Real Madrid. According to the Argentinian midfielder, Ronaldo is increasingly disillusioned at the Bernabau and is aware that he is slipping slowly down the world's highest-paid players list. Both Di Maria – and fellow Old Trafford newcomer Radamel Falcao – are believed to be now earning more than Ronaldo, not to mention Wayne Rooney who reportedly signed a £300,000 a week deal with United in February.
Di Maria, a close friend of Ronaldo who shares the same agent as the Portuguese superstar, said: "I don't know how much longer Ronaldo can put up with it at Madrid. I get the impression that he is not very happy."
Ronaldo is widely reported to be extremely disappointed with Madrid's transfer policy and said: "I have a very clear opinion but I cannot always say what I think."His bizarre behaviour in last Sunday's 3-0 La Liga victory over Granada when he refused to celebrate either of his two goals has not helped either. "I'm sad – when I don't celebrate goals it's because I'm not happy. It's a professional thing. Real Madrid know why I'm not happy," he added.
Ronaldo's agent, Jorge Mendes, said that he was well aware about his client's issues with Madrid.
"Ronaldo's comments are based on things I am aware of and he is at liberty to divulge them. These comments have not surprised me and certainly not upset me. "
Despite interest from Chelsea it seems that if Ronaldo does leave Madrid he will almost certainly head back to United who would welcome him back with open arms.
Ronaldo said this week: "I love Manchester. Everyone knows that. Manchester is in my heart. I left many good friends there. The supporters are amazing and I wish I can come back one day."
Having openly challenged Madrid's decision to sell Di Maria to United, Ronaldo praised his former employees for signing Radamel Falcao to rub salt into the wound.
"He is a very good player – I think United did very well. He will be a fantastic buy. They need quality players. And Falcao is a quality player."

Will Cristiano Ronaldo ever return back to Manchester United?

Ronaldo during a training

Every season or so, Cristiano Ronaldo seems to speak out about how much he loves his former club,Manchester United. Whilst waxing lyrical about The Red Devils, he often mentions that he’d one day fancy a move back to Old Trafford.
Stop teasing us Ronny, and come back already!
Here’s what Cristiano Ronaldo had to say this time round:
“I love Manchester. Everyone knows that — I have said it many times.”
Yep. He certainly has.
“Manchester is in my heart. I left many good friends there, the supporters are amazing and I wish I can come back one day.” (Source: The Mirror)
Cue thousands of Manchester United fans suggesting that they too wish that he can come back one day.
He’s currently in the form of his career. Since moving to The Bernabeu in 2009, he’s scored 255 goals in 250 games for Real Madrid. This is, to put it simply, a flabbergasting return. On this basis alone, he’s already established himself as one of the best sportsmen to have ever put foot to ball. He’s an all-timer. In fact, when it comes to all timers, Ronaldo’s at the head of the queue.
His athleticism, technique and pure finishing ability are virtually unmatched. It’s just unfortunate that he hasn't been wearing a Manchester United shirt whilst he’s been at the peak of his game.
But as Ronaldo’s comments indicate, there’s hope yet. We could see him throw on a Manchester United jersey again in the future.
Let’s just hope that it’s in the near future. Ronaldo’s now 29-years-old. Over the next three or four years, the Portuguese ace is going to start losing some of his pace. Soon enough, he’ll lose some of his edge. At some stage, he’ll drop out of the ‘best player in the world’ discussion.
If we’re honest, that’s probably when Manchester United will sign him, but I hope it’s not. If Cristiano does return to Old Trafford, I hope it’s whilst he’s at his very best.
Still, I appreciate the need to be realistic. To get him back at all would represent a massive victory for the club. Let’s not forget that good things come to those who wait.

The Portuguese’s former teammate Angel di Maria also dropped a bomb by claiming he did not know “how long” Ronaldo could carry on for at Real, while his agent Jorge Mendes has hinted at the attacker’s discontent.
“Ronaldo’s comments are based on things I am aware of and he is at liberty to divulge them. These comments have not surprised me and certainly not upset me,” he said.

Seven challenges for Cristiano

Seven challenges for Cristiano
RONALDO COULD GO DOWN AS REAL'S BEST EVER PLAYER

Several milestones which only befit footballing legends are in Cristiano Ronaldo's sights. The 29-year-old wants to continue gradually working his way up the rankings in the Real Madrid history books, both in La Liga and the Champions League. These are CR7's seven challenges.
To earn his place on the Real Madrid podium for league goals. He currently has 179 leaving him 7 behind Santillana, 37 behind Di Stéfano and 49 behind Raúl.
To climb the all-time scorer ranking. He dislodged Puskas from fourth place last season and has similar faces ahead of him: Santillana, Di Stéfano and Raúl. To break into the top ten goalscorers in La Liga history. He currently sits in 13th place.
To become the top scorer in Champions League history. He set a new record for goals in one campaign last season with an astounding 17 strikes. His career total is made up of 52 for 'Los Blancos' and 17 for Manchester United totalling 67, the same number as a certain Argentine Barcelona player. Raúl's record of 71 goals (including 5 for Schalke) is on its last legs.
To catch Raúl in the European top scorer ranks for Real Madrid. There is further to go here with fourteen goals separating the two greats. If CR7 can replicate his Champions League scoring spree of last season, his 52 European goals will soon usurp Raúl's 66.
To score at the three current La Liga grounds where he is yet to do so: Riazor (Deportivo), Ipurúa (Eibar) and El Arcángel (Córdoba). To be the first man to win five Golden Boots. He has been the top scorer in Europe three times so far, just like Messi.

The same paper says Chelsea are after Barcelona player Xavier Simons … aged 11.

Wembley and Milton Keynes are among the options for Tottenham Hotspur if they have to spend a season away from White Hart Lane while the stadium is being rebuilt. Spurs may be under new owners by then with the Mirror reporting that the club is up for sale at £1 billion.

Cristiano Ronaldo
Madrid have moved on a number of stars including Xabi Alonso and Angel Di Maria this summer, and could reluctantly part ways with Ronaldo if the player pushes for a move, with some outlets naming Borussia Dortmund's Marco Reus and Blues winger Eden Hazard as potential replacements.
Despite the interest from the Stamford Bridge club, a reunion with the Red Devils seems more likely after Ronaldo sensationally exclaimed: "I love Manchester.
"Everyone knows that - I have said it many times. Manchester is in my heart. I left many good friends there, the supporters are amazing and I wish I can come back one day."
